Food availability for students

JVSD Website

Community members and businesses in the Juniata Valley School District have come together to provide food for hungry children in our district while the schools are closed.  Starting Monday, March 23rd, children will be able to pick up either a lunch meat and cheese or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at lunch time (Monday through Friday) from a variety of locations throughout the district.  Food will be distributed on a “grab-and-go” basis (taken home to be eaten) in order to comply with current “social distancing” recommendations.  If possible, please contact the distribution site nearest you to sign up your child(ren) and to let them know of any food allergies and sandwich preferences so that the volunteers will be able to prepare (pre-registration is not required).  If you would like to participate but live too far away for your children to walk to a distribution site, please contact the site nearest you.  The site will be your best source for current information, delivery capabilities, etc.  Volunteers and donations are also appreciated.  If interested in helping, please contact one of the individuals below.
