Student Assistance Program

What is SAP:
The mission of the Pennsylvania Network for Student Assistance Services is to provide leadership for developing a safe and drug-free environment and mental health wellness in schools and communities across the commonwealth. Barriers to learning will be removed and student academic achievement will be enhanced through collaborative prevention, intervention, and post-intervention services. “Student Assistance Program About SAP General SAP in PA.” Student Assistance Program About SAP General SAP in PA. The Juniata Valley School District participates in this State/Federal program to offer assistance to those students who are at risk. This team, made up of school and agency staff is available to help
you access school and community services for your child.  Anyone can refer a child to the SAP team. Some students are referred by teachers or other school personnel. A friend or family member can also let the SAP team know that they are worried about someone.

How can I make a referral?
